Kevin McGlynn

Founder

Kevin McGlynn is a former construction executive now residing in Valencia, Spain, where he channels his deep passion for wine and agriculture into every project. Guided by the belief that we are guardians of the land and must respect it—recognizing that the soil is the foundation of great wine—Kevin is an active investor and partner in a diverse range of wine ventures across Spain and Washington State. His portfolio includes Perinet in Priorat, Clos Maria in Montsant, Ambassador Winery, La Coye Vineyards, and several other vineyards in the Red Mountain region. Beyond his dedication to agriculture, real estate, and wineries, Kevin also invests in and advises a variety of early-stage companies.

Michael Winstrøm & Elena Zorina

Founders

Michael, a Danish entrepreneur and founder of several companies in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors across Europe, has long nurtured a love for wine, history, and the preservation of meaningful traditions. 

Elena is a highly respected lawyer specializing in international law. With her rich cultural heritage, deep appreciation for the land, and sharp legal acumen, she shares Michael’s devotion to wine and legacy—together forming a distinctive and harmonious partnership in the world of fine wines.

With Argeles, Michael and Elena—together with Kevin brought to life a shared vision, a place where time slows, history breathes, and the soul of the region reveals itself with every bottle opened and every glass thoughtfully enjoyed.

Antonio Sanchez

Winemaker

Antoni Sánchez-Ortiz serves as the winemaker at Argeles, bringing more than 24 years of hands-on experience in crafting exceptional wines within Spain’s prestigious DOQ Priorat region. Originally from a small valley in the Pyrenees, Antoni’s journey in viticulture began with formal studies in winemaking at the University of Tarragona and the University Victor Segalen in Bordeaux, complemented by a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona.

At Argeles, Antoni is recognized for producing fine wines that capture the unique character of local varietals, always emphasizing a deep respect for the land. He believes that truly great wines are born from an intimate understanding of the vineyard and meticulous attention to every aspect of vineyard management. His PhD research explored the impact of global warming on Priorat wines, further strengthening Argeles’ commitment to innovation and sustainability in winemaking.

Albert Montablo

Vineyard Manager

Albert Montablo is the vineyard manager at Argeles, bringing over 20 years of hands-on experience managing vineyards in the renowned Priorat region of Spain. With a deep understanding of the unique terroir and challenging landscape of Priorat, Albert has developed a reputation for meticulous vineyard stewardship and a commitment to sustainable viticultural practices. His expertise ensures that each vintage from Argeles reflects the distinct character of the land and the quality for which Priorat wines are celebrated.
